This year's programme identity design is inspired by the 2022 UOB Southeast Asian Painting of the Year winning artwork, Dystopia by Thai artist, Chomrawi Suksom.
Depicted in Dystopia, the present world is battling with global tensions, environmental ruin, natural disasters and oppression. As we emerge from the global pandemic, we reflect with optimism and transform for a better tomorrow. Here, the evolving sphere symbolises our world in a constant state of change and renewal, represented by different cultures and identities.
In the 42nd edition of our flagship UOB Painting of the Year competition, we encourage you to stay curious, explore and be the changemaker for a better and more sustainable world.
Thank you for your submission, the competition has closed. Stay tuned for the results in November 2023.
