Inaugurated in 2017, the UOB Art in Ink Awards (“the Awards”) organised by UOB Art Academy in Hong Kong aims to foster long-term appreciation for the medium and to present opportunities for the local community to uncover their artistic talent.

As one of the earliest artistic practices in the world, ink painting is a rich and unique embodiment of Chinese culture, history and tradition, and one that continues to evolve and adapt today. The Awards aims to promote the traditional medium in the contemporary world to the general public, as well as to unearth and support the local artistic talents, provide a platform for them to showcase artworks and facilitate cultural exchange.
