Dr Bridget Tracy Tan is Director for the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and Art Galleries at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. Formerly a curator at the Singapore Art Museum (now National Gallery Singapore), she holds a First Class Honours degree in History of Art. Her PhD in practice-led research as a curator and critical art historian was obtained from the University of the Arts London. The thesis critically explored Southeast Asian museology and Southeast Asian curating in contemporary paradigms that extend into global platforms, specifically, biennales. Dr Tan continues to assemble exhibitions and facilitate the teaching of Southeast Asian arts. She has contributed essays and articles on local and regional artists in seminal publications. Over the last two decades she has also judged regional and international competitions for photography and painting.

Mr Eddie Hara is a leading Indonesian contemporary artist. He studied arts at the Indonesia Institute of Arts, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and the Akademie voor Beeldende Kunst Enschede (AKI), The Netherlands. He is now based in Basel, Switzerland.
Mr Hara is inspired by street art and the Western art movement. In his art exploratory journey, he created his visual genre by integrating the innocence of children’s drawing and street art. His works explore various themes and the sub-culture mindset – from environmental to people’s life, blending children’s mischievous fantasies and the wildness of urban street life.
He has held many solo and group exhibitions in Asia and Europe, and worked on numerous art projects including a 70m long wall at the new Erlenmatt housing complex in Basel, commissioned by the Civil Engineering Department of Basel city, Switzerland; Art is Cheap – Project Two, a 60 minutes performance at Imprimerie, Basel, Switzerland; etc.

Ms Vera Ong, the co-founder of Art-2 Gallery, one of the leading art galleries in Singapore and founder member of the Art Galleries Association, Singapore (AGAS), has had extensive experience working with artists over the past 30 years and has also encouraged and exhibited many budding young talents who are now professional artists.
She was the President of the Art Galleries Association from 2006 to 2010 and from 2012 to 2016 and held the position of the Vice President from 2010 to 2012, and from 2016 to 2018.
Vera has been involved in the building and promoting of the visual arts industry in Singapore and around the region. As one of the founder members of AGAS, she helped to pioneer major Singapore visual arts events such as ArtSingapore and New Finds. She has also been invited to numerous panels and committee to promote, encourage or otherwise support Government visual arts initiatives over the past 25 years.

Dr Ian Woo is an artist working in the language of abstraction. Influenced by forms of modernism, perceptual abstraction, and the sound structures of music improvisation, his work is characterised by a sense of gravitational and representational change. He often uses the term ‘picture making’ when describing his position and approach, maintaining the discipline and evolvement of painting as a vehicle for pictorial reflectivity.
In 1999, Woo was the category winner of the UOB Painting of the Year (Singapore), Abstract. He was also the Juror’s Choice for two consecutive years in Southeast Asia’s Philip Morris Award in 1999 and 2000. His Doctorate research was based on the ability of abstract painting to express notions of a continuous presence.
Dr Woo’s first solo exhibition Mental Images was held at the LASALLE Gallery in Singapore in 2000. Recent solo exhibitions include Joy of a Preverbal Dispenser at FOST Gallery, Singapore (2020), Falling Off Plastic Chairs at Tomio Koyama Gallery Singapore (2015), The Difference Between Your Mountain and My Couch at 8/ Tomio Koyama Gallery, Japan (2014) and Ian Woo: A Review 1995 – 2011 at the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore (2011). Selected recent group exhibitions include Reformations: Painting in Post 2000 Singapore Art at the Nanyang Technological University (2019), Sound & Vision at FOST Gallery (2018), Siapa Nama Kamu at National Gallery Singapore (2015), After Utopia, at Singapore Art Museum (2015), The Origin of Beauty: Dramatic Nostalgia at Busan Museum of Art, Korea (2014) and Market Forces – Erasure: From Conceptualism To Abstraction at Osage Gallery, Hong Kong (2014).
His works are in the collection of major institutions such as ABN AMRO, Singapore Art Museum, The Istana Singapore, The National Gallery Singapore, Suzhou Center, UBS, and the Mint Museum of Craft & Design, USA. Dr Agung Hujatnika, M.Sn, also known as Agung Hujatnikajennong, is a lecturer at the Visual Art Study Program, Faculty of Art and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in Bandung, Indonesia. He is also currently a member of the Research Group of Aesthetics and the Science of Arts at ITB.
He received his doctorate from his alma mater on the subject of art curatorship in 2012 and Master of Art in 2007. His academic contributions to the school’s curriculum include courses on Art Management (undergraduate and master degrees), Art Studies, Communication of Art and Sociology of Art (undergraduate).
In 2013, he received the Independent Vision Curatorial Award from the Independent Curators International, New York, USA, and in 2018, he founded and convened a regular international conference on art curatorship Imagined Curatorial at ITB.
As an independent curator, he has curated several major national and international exhibitions in Indonesia and abroad, including Ruanrupa’s OK Video at Jakarta Video Festival (2003), SUB/VERSION (2005) and Flesh (2011), Heri Dono’s Nobody’s Land (2008), Fluid Zones, Jakarta Biennale – ARENA at the National Gallery of Indonesia and various public spaces in Jakarta (2009), etc.

Ms Mella Jaarsma studied visual art at the Minerva Academy in Groningen, The Netherlands. After which, she left to study at the Art Institute of Jakarta, Indonesia. She has lived and worked in Indonesia since.
In 1988, Ms Jaarsma co–founded the Cemeti Art House, now called Cemeti - Institute for Art and Society, one of the first spaces for contemporary art in Indonesia, which to this day remains an important platform for the young artists and art professionals in the country and region.

Ms Natasha Sidharta has a big passion for the arts and its ecosystem. Growing up surrounded by a collection of modern art of Indonesia, she strives to contribute to the ecosystem of art around her. She is a collector of contemporary art and takes on active roles in several art initiatives. Ms Sidharta sits on the board for the Jakarta Biennale, Indonesia, and provides advisory to the Mori Art Museum, Japan on various projects and exhibitions.
Since 2013, she joins the IndoArtNow to promote and support the art scene in Indonesia. In 2014, she initiated the Sidharta Aboejono Martoredjo (SAM) Funds for the Arts and Ecology to provide grants in support of artistic research, archival work, experimentation, projects, translation works, and publications. She believes groundwork research and people’s relationship play a very important role in nurturing the art scene in Indonesia, across Southeast Asia and internationally. Her recent projects include Pollination: We’re in this together (2018 - …) at the Factory Contemporary Art Space, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; SUN SHOWER: Contemporary art from Southeast Asia, 1980s to now (2017) at the Mori Art Museum and National Art Centre Tokyo, Japan; Koneksi-Connectie: Rethinking Home (2016) at Nieuw Dakota, The Netherlands, Handiwirman Saputra’s Material Matters (2015) at the ToLot Heuristic, Tokyo, Japan.

Ms Bibi Chew began her art career in the mid-‘90s and is known for her multi-disciplinary art practice in Malaysia. She completed a Diploma in Fine Arts (Painting, Distinction) at LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts, Singapore, and subsequently obtained BA (Distinction) and MA in Fine Art from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. She has won numerous major art awards in Malaysia and abroad.
Ms Chew has always been actively contributing to the arts education and promoting the contemporary art scene in Malaysia. In 2000, she was the Major Award recipient for the Young Contemporaries Award by the National Art Gallery Malaysia. Her other accolades include the International Artist Residency Award at 200 Gertrude Street Contemporary Art Space at Melbourne, Australia in 1997 and the Della Butcher for Excellence in Painting Award 1994 by the Rotary Club of Orchard, Singapore. She also regularly served as art competitions’ panel of judges, art advisor, guest speaker, and programme coordinator for both local and international art events.
Her artworks have been presented in numerous group exhibitions across Southeast Asia, Asia, Europe, and North America. In 2005, she was selected as the Malaysian Artist in the 3rd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Japan; Asian Art Now (2006) at Blackburn Museum and Gallery, the United Kingdom; Out of the Mould – The Age of Reason (2008) at Malmo Art Museum, Sweden and Kuala Lumpur Biennale (2017) organised by National Art Gallery, Malaysia; etc. Her works are collected by major public and private institutions, and private collectors. Mr Choy Chun Wei is trained in graphic design and graduated with honours (second upper) under a full scholarship at Central St. Martin’s college in London, the United Kingdom in 1998. Since graduating, he has been practicing art and has lectured at various art colleges and universities in Malaysia.
Together with his wife, Ms Yau Bee Ling, they provide art workshops for children with special needs through the National Art Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mr Choy has also participated in various workshops and conferences in the field of art and design.
In 2001, Mr Choy embarked on his first painting series on suburban spaces and facades. The works were exhibited at the Valentine Willie Fine Art Gallery titled Inhabitants. Since then, he has been widely exhibited in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2003, he received an Honorable Mention at the Malaysian Philip Morris Art Award, and in 2004 he received the Juror’s Prize at the Malaysian Young Contemporary Art Exhibition. In 2005, he was awarded the Rimbun Dahan Artist-in-Residence placement, and in 2008 he was also awarded by a distinguished jury as a winner of 2007/2008 Asian Artist Fellowship by the Freeman Foundation for residency at the Vermont Studio Center in the United States. At the end of 2008, two of his unconventional and challenging mixed media and collage paintings were collected by Balai Seni Visual Negara as part of the permanent collection. He was the only Malaysian artist to be accorded a solo exhibition at Art Basel Hong Kong in 2014 with his Human Landscape project.
As a prominent figure in the contemporary art scene in Malaysia, his works can be seen in the collections of both Malaysians as well as international collectors. His works have also been exhibited internationally across China, Hong Kong, the United States, Pakistan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

Ms Nur Hanim Khairuddin is a curator and editor based in Malaysia. She is currently the Co-director of the Malaysian Art Archive and Research Support (Malaysia), an organisation that compiles, preserves, and archives materials related to Malaysian visual and fine arts. Besides that, she also the owner of Teratak Nuromar, an independent publisher of contemporary visual art magazine sentAp! where she also serves as Editor-in-chief and was appointed as General Manager for PORT, a Perak state creative agency.
She was the curator for the Perak Arts Foundation from 1997 to 2010 and had curated solo shows held at the National Art Gallery, Malaysia for renowned national artists such as Mr Sulaiman Esa and Mr Raja Shahriman Raja Aziddin. She was also an Associate Curator for the 5th edition of Singapore Biennale and the Kuandu Biennale, Taiwan in 2016. She was Co-editor-in-chief for four volumes of Narratives in Malaysian Art, which extensively document and extend discussions on contemporary Malaysian art. Emeritus Professor Parinya Tantisuk was the former Dean of the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, Thailand. He has created several art pieces by exploring different methods, techniques as well as various mediums. His paintings focus on the positive relationship of life such as love, compassion, hopes, and sufficiency life by using symbols and colours to express his own identity. His works have been published both in Thailand and abroad, and have also received various awards from many renowned art competitions. In addition to studying, researching, and developing the method of art creation and expression in his own identity, he also brought knowledge gained from actual practice to share knowledge with his students. He was named National Artist of Visual Arts (Painting) in 2018.
Emeritus Professor Tantisuk graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, Thailand, and received a grant from the Japanese Government to study Fine Art at Shizuoka University, Japan.
He has devoted himself to art teaching and creation. Emeritus Professor Tantisuk graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, Thailand, and received a grant from the Japanese Government to study Fine Art at Shizuoka University, Japan.
He has devoted himself to art teaching and creation. Mrs Luckana Kunavichayanont is the Acting Director of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), an art consultant and independent curator based in Thailand. She was the former Director of BACC between 2011 to 2017. During her directorship, BACC becomes a significant platform for the flourish of diverse art and cultural activities and a resource for knowledge, new ideas, and inspiration. In 2018, she co-curated the 1st Bangkok Art Biennale that spanned 20 locations across Thailand.
Mrs Kunavichayanont received a Bachelor's Degree from the Archaeology Faculty, Silpakorn University, Thailand, and Master' Degree in Asian Arts from the University of New England in Australia. In her early years, she had participated in advocacy with the Artist’s Network and related arts communities for the setup of the BACC from 1995 and the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Thailand in 2002. She served occasionally as a jury member of major art awards in Asia including Signature Art Prize 2014 and the 11th Benesse Art Prize. Mr Amrit Chusuwan is Vice President for Arts and Culture, Silpakorn University and artist, consultant, and curator of Art Mill, Songkhla Art Center. He is one of the country’s most prominent artists who received many honourable mentions in Thailand. In his early career, he received a scholarship and a Diploma from the ASP Academy of Fine Arts, Krakow, Poland. His works have received many prizes such as the 2nd Prize recipient of the 32nd National Exhibition of Art, at Bangkok and Silpa Bhirasri Creativity Grants in 2002. He has organised many international exhibitions and had served as curator and artist consultant for the Venice Biennale, Italy. He was named National Artist of Visual Arts (Painting) in 2021.
Mr Chusuwan was among pioneering artists in Thailand in the late 80s who experimented on a conceptual painting that sought apart from canvas and colours, other mediums to convey the possibility of relations between different objects. From the 1990s, Chusuwan has been working largely and creatively on video installations to express ideas through the use of modern media or even using the audience as part of his work. His works have been exhibited in both local and international solo and group exhibitions. He was Dean at the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, Thailand from 2013 to 2017.
