UOB and JTC sign Agreement to grow industry ecosystems in Singapore
Singapore, 31 July 2026 – UOB and JTC Corporation (JTC) signed an Agreement at the ASEAN Conference 2026 to build up industry ecosystems in Singapore.
Under the agreement, UOB will identify and refer companies looking to set up or expand in Singapore to JTC as prospective tenants, while JTC will connect UOB with relevant companies, anchor institutions and ecosystem partners already based in its estates. FIC Global, Inc, a Taiwan-listed technology company specialising in AI solutions and advanced electronics design manufacturing, is one such referral, with plans for facilities at JTC's Woodlands North Coast and Woodlands Gateway.
Both organisations will support these companies as they grow — landing them in JTC estates, introducing them to other players in the ecosystem, and offering banking solutions, credit facilities, sustainable financing, advisory support, foreign direct investment advice and supply chain financing programmes for SMEs.
UOB, through its community enabler UOB FinLab, will deliver capability building and enterprise transformation programmes to help businesses stay competitive in areas such as AI, digitalisation and sustainability. JTC, in turn, will facilitate access to facilities across Punggol Digital District and its other estates to support entrepreneurship initiatives, workshops, masterclasses and other activities organised by UOB.
At least two workshops or masterclasses will be held annually, each targeting a minimum of 30 attendees, with at least half comprising JTC tenants or anchor institutions. JTC will also collaborate with UOB FinLab via its Industry Connect platform to facilitate sector-focused partnerships among enterprises.
Christine Wong, Assistant CEO, JTC, said “We are pleased to partner with UOB to support companies within JTC's ecosystems, connecting them to enablers, and programmes that can accelerate growth and regional expansion. We look forward to seeing more companies leverage these opportunities to innovate, scale and capture new markets.”
Frederick Chin, Head of Group Wholesale Banking and Markets, UOB, said, “Singapore is a compelling hub for companies looking to grow across ASEAN and beyond. Through this partnership, UOB can connect our regional and international clients to JTC’s ecosystem and industrial infrastructure, helping them establish a presence in Singapore and build regional operating models that leverage opportunities across ASEAN. Together, we can attract investments, support business growth and strengthen Singapore’s role as a hub for future economies.”
