Suan Teck Kin, CFA

Teck Kin joined UOB as an economist in 2006. In his current role as Executive Director in Global Economics and Markets Research, he is responsible for macroeconomic and foreign exchange research with a primary focus on China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and secondary coverage for the ASEAN region. As a member of the Research team, he presents the team’s market views regularly to the Bank’s management team and clients in Singapore and the region.
Teck Kin has more than ten years of experience in macroeconomic and equity research. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Teck Kin is interviewed frequently by local and international print and broadcast media, as well as financial newswires on the economic and market outlook.
Prior to UOB, Teck Kin held various positions in equity and credit analysis in other financial institutions in Singapore, Canada and Taiwan.
Teck Kin graduated with a Master's degree in economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Simon Fraser University, Canada. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Heng Koon How, CAIA

Koon How is the Head of Markets Strategy, Global Economics and Markets Research at UOB, where he leads the in-house team to formulate forecasts and house views for Foreign Exchange (FX), commodities and interest rates. Koon How focuses on advising key clients across Wholesale Banking, Global Markets, Corporate and Financial Institution segments throughout the ASEAN region. In addition to his main role, Koon How is concurrently a member of UOB’s Blockchain and Digital Asset (BCDA) taskforce, focusing on research in the fast evolving blockchain and digital assets space, including asset tokenization as well as Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC).
He has more than 25 years of financial markets experience across the key asset classes. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Koon How actively participates in various investment seminars across the Asia Pacific region and is a regular commentator in key local and international print and broadcast media. Prior to joining UOB in 2017, Koon How has worked in various global financial institutions and private banks in areas such as FX strategy, FX options sales, derivatives advisory and commodities structuring.
Koon How graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Chemical Engineering. In 2009, he was awarded the Financial Sector Development Fund postgraduate scholarship from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to attend the Yale-Singapore Management University Masters of Science in Wealth Management programme. Koon How is also a certified Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. In 2020, Koon How attended the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency course at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and in 2021, Koon How completed the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Alvin joined the UOB Global Economics and Markets Research team in 2011 and is responsible for providing research and analysis on developed economies, specifically the United States and Japan. He frequently shares his views on macroeconomic trends and developments through local and international print and broadcast media.
Alvin has been working in the banking industry since 2000 and has experience both in the public and private sectors.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Economics from the National University of Singapore.

Enrico Tanuwidjaja

Enrico joined UOB Indonesia in 2017 and is responsible for macroeconomic research focusing on Indonesia.
Prior to joining UOB, Enrico was the Financial Sector Specialist at the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office and was also an economist at various global and regional banks. He was also based in Singapore in the late 1990s, analysing theASEAN-5 economies, particularly in the areas of macroeconomic, foreign exchange, interest rates and bond market research.
Enrico was ranked among the top 10 macroeconomists in Southeast Asia by Asiamoney in 2011. Enrico also published several journal articles on monetary and financial market policies and macroeconomic issues, including “The Central Bank's Credibility and Monetary Policy in Indonesia” published by the Journal of Policy Modeling.

Julia joined UOB Malaysia in 2015 with 12 years of research experience working in the stockbroking industry. In her current role, she is responsible for the UOB Global Economics and Markets Research team’s coverage of Malaysia and is frequently quoted in the local and foreign media on the country’s economic trends and developments and currency.
Prior to joining UOB Malaysia, Julia covered Malaysia and regional economies at an ASEAN investment bank and contributed to the research team being ranked among the top three in country research on Malaysia at the Asiamoney Brokers Poll for seven consecutive years. She also previously worked in the consultancy sector.
Julia graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce and a First Class Honours in Master of Economics, specialising in international and monetary economics and applied econometric techniques.

Peter joined UOB in 2015 and is responsible for crafting foreign exchange (FX) hedging or investment strategies for the Bank’s clients.
He has more than 10 years of FX buy side (trading) and sell side (sales) experience. Prior to UOB, Peter worked in several hedge funds and international banks. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Peter is regularly interviewed by local and international media.
Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree (First Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and is a Chartered Market Technician.

Ho Woei Chen, CFA

Woei Chen joined UOB as an economist in 2003. She is focused primarily on the Greater China markets including Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, and South Korea. Her previous coverage areas included various countries in the ASEAN region.
Woei Chen regularly shares her views with other business units in the Bank and through the media. She also works closely with UOB’s risk management team for stress tests for the Bank.
Woei Chen holds a Bachelor of Arts/Social Sciences (Second Upper Class Honours) in Economics from the National University of Singapore.

Quek Ser Leang

Ser Leang joined UOB as a Foreign Exchange Trader in 1997. After 16 years on the foreign exchange (FX) desk, he joined the Global Economics and Markets Research team as a Market Strategist in 2013.
Ser Leang focused primarily on the FX market, capitalising on his trading experience and expertise in technical analysis to provide in-depth analysis.
Prior to UOB, Ser Leang previously worked as a foreign exchange trader in local and global banks. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from National University of Singapore.

Victor Yong

Victor joined UOB as a market strategist in 2014. In his current role as Interest Rate Strategist in the Global Economics and Markets Research team, he is responsible for interest rate research with a primary focus on Singapore and secondary coverage on the ASEAN and G10 regions.
Victor also has eight years of experience as a rates trader at UOB and another regional bank in Asia Pacific. In addition, he was previously part of a European bank’s rates submission team to help set up the framework for monitoring submissions in selected Asian rates. Victor started his financial career at The Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s risk unit.
Victor graduated with a Bachelor of Business Commerce from the University of Auckland.

Sue Ann joined UOB in 2009 and covers macroeconomic research for the G7 economies, with primary focus on the Eurozone, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
Sue Ann shares her expertise and views on US dollar-bloc currencies, interest rates and key market developments with UOB’s clients, business units, management and Board, as well as with the media and at local and overseas seminars and conferences.
Prior to UOB, she was a regional economist covering North Asia at an economic research firm.
Sue Ann has a Master's degree in International Economics and Finance and a Bachelor of Economics. She also has experience teaching undergraduate Economics at the University of Queensland, Australia.

Loke Siew Ting

Siew Ting joined UOB Malaysia in 2018 and is responsible for providing macroeconomic research focusing on Malaysia and the Philippines. She has 12 years of research experience honed through her work in stockbroking, pension funds and at Securities Commission Malaysia.
Prior to joining UOB Malaysia, Siew Ting was a capital market analyst at the Employees Provident Fund in Malaysia, covering the Asia Pacific region. She also held research positions at an ASEAN investment bank where she was part of the winning research team that ranked top three at the Asiamoney Brokers Poll for seven consecutive years
Siew Ting graduated from the University of Malaya with a First Class Honours Degree in Bachelor of Economics.

Jester joined the UOB Global Economics and Markets Research team in 2023 and is responsible for providing research and analysis on the Singapore and India economy. Prior to joining UOB, Jester was an ASEAN economics research associate at a US investment bank, analysing the ASEAN-6 economies with a focus on Singapore and Malaysia.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Highest Distinction) in Mathematics and a second major in Economics from the National University of Singapore.
Sathit Talaengsatya

Sathit joined UOB Thailand in September 2023 and is responsible for macroeconomic research focusing on Thailand.
Prior to joining UOB, Sathit was an economist and a senior analyst at a leading commercial bank in Thailand where he conducted research and analyses on the ASEAN countries to drive the bank’s regional strategies. He also had various opportunities to provide views on ASEAN economic outlook for both international organisations as well as the media.
Prior to joining the private sector, he was the Assistant Director at the International Department of the Bank of Thailand (BOT) where his responsibilities were focused on sub-regional economic surveillance and executing the BOT's connectivity strategies with neighboring countries in ASEAN. He worked with teams from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, ADB, and other development partners at home and abroad including the Thai Bankers' Association (TBA) to support and promote technical cooperation with countries in the region.

Agus joined UOB Indonesia in 2023 with 3 years of regional analyst experience working in the central bank of Indonesia. In his current role, he is responsible for providing macroeconomic research focusing on Indonesia.
Prior to joining UOB Indonesia, Agus was a regional analyst focusing on industries in Eastern Indonesia at Central Bank of Indonesia.
Agus graduated from the University of Brawijaya with a First Class Honours Degree in Bachelor of Economics.
Tan Lena

Lena joined UOB in 2011. In her current role as Business Data Designer in the Global Economics and Markets Research team, she spearheads the publication process of key headline publications including the Quarterly Global Outlook and FX & Rates Monthly Strategy. She capitalises on her strong design and desktop publishing skills and knowledge to enhance the research team’s publications and marketing campaigns with infographics articles.
Lena also works closely with various Business Units and Functions across the bank for risk and compliance management, budget planning, web management as well as with the UOB’s Global Markets team and Blockchain and Digital Asset (BCDA) taskforce, among others.
Prior to joining UOB, Lena was a business development executive with the institutional sales team at a asset management firm. She holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Western Sydney.
