The Thai government has formulated the Energy Efficiency Plan (EEP) 2018 and an EE action plan aiming to encourage energy efficiency in its buildings. The EEP2018 specifies a target of 30% energy intensity reduction by 2037 (from 2010 figures). This commitment is supported by the Clean Technology Fund Investment Plan which is targeting US$300mn in financing to catalyse private sector investment to increase renewable energy share of commercial energy to 30%1.
