Recognising the growth opportunities and potential of the Indonesian market and its e-commerce sector, UOB partnered the Indonesian E-Commerce Association to hold a half-day conference for players within the sector. Held on 30 October 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia, UOB’s industry experts Mr Terence Koh, Head of Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT), Group Wholesale Banking, Mr Hooi Mun Hon, Deputy Head of TMT, GWB and Ms Tay Xiaohan, TMT analyst, GWB, anchored the conference by sharing the bank’s view on the market’s emerging internet economy and digital business, its potential, similarities between Indonesia’s and China’s e-Commerce industry and more. The session concluded with a spirited panel discussion where UOB’s experts addressed issues in Indonesia’s e-Commerce industry alongside Mr Tonny Timor Basry, Head of Commercial Banking UOB Indonesia and Mr Ferryandi, CEO of Buahhatiku.com.
