UOB Indonesia General Development Programme

Programme Overview

The UOB Indonesia General Development Programme is designed to help you start and fast-track your career in the banking industry as a relationship manager or an emerging credit leader in Commercial Banking, Business Banking, Personal Financial Services, Retail Credit or any division that supports the business of UOB. Depending on your choice of role, you will undergo a 12- or 20-month programme. This is where you will gain exposure to various business segments within the Bank and develop strong interpersonal, critical thinking and leadership skills.

 

What we look for in a UOB Indonesia General Development applicant:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university
  • A minimum GPA of 3.00 (at 4.00 scale)
  • An excellent track record in leadership and co-curricular activities
  • A drive for excellence
  • Strong communication skills

 

You will gain in-depth knowledge and skills over a mix of structured classroom and on-the-job training in general banking, credit management, risk management, operations and sales. During the on-the-job training, you will be exposed to various roles to develop your versatility in the banking industry. These, range from customer service officer, relationship manager to credit analyst. A buddy will accompany you as you perform your daily duties. A senior leader will also be assigned to support you in the successful completion of this programme.

You will begin your career via the UOB General Development Programme. Depending on your choice of business segment, you will advance towards the role of a credit analyst, credit management officer, credit policymaker and reviewer or relationship manager. In addition, you will have the opportunity to design your career path according to your passion and interests.

A comprehensive and rigorous selection and assessment process is in place to help us identify ideal candidates for the UOB Indonesia General Development Programme. This comprises ability tests as well as interviews with Human Resources and Senior Managers.
