UOB ESG Data Analytics
UOB stresses the importance of environmental and social impacts of our operations and clients.
We combine ESG Analytics with externally sourced data to provide ESG insights of our clients
Our landscape on ESG Data
ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) investing is on the rise, and it shows no signs of slowing down. As investors become increasingly focused on sustainability issues within the corporate world, so are banks like UOB.
In order to achieve the right decisioning, UOB requires accurate ESG data that can be utilized for metrics, ratings, and mandatory ESG reporting.
Access to reliable, real-time data is the only way for Banks to increase their competitiveness in the ESG new order.
As a Bank, UOB understands that it is important to manage the environmental and social impacts associated with our perations and supply chain, and we factor-in the ESG risks into our lending and investment activites.
ESG Analytics
ESG Analytics at UOB helps identify the potential environmental and social risks that may exist within our portfolios. Increasingly, the way we manage sustainability risks can impact our financial performance, which may also impact our creditworthiness among investors.
Internally, the Bank has developed an ESG Data Analytics team, and together with the readily available data platform, the team can provide invaluable insights for the entire Bank and its regional subsidiaries.
The $40 trillion Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment industry is built on a bedrock of data from an ever widening range of sources. Is the data fit for purpose?

Our Approach to ESG Data
At UOB, we combine our own data analytics expertise and resources, with externally-sourced data, to meaningfully perform ESG analysis. That paired with our client’s own self-disclosures and possible disclosures by Authorities related to the companies, forms the total information flow that goes into our ESG Data Platform.
In the ever-growing world of ESG data, we are also sourcing non-publicly disclosed data in order to enhance our ESG data analytics capabilities.
Our Product
At UOB, we have internally built a custom product to understand the ESG data and to deliver ESG Insights & Opportunities.
Our ESG data platform, also known as CSP360 degrees, provides a view of features such as:
- ESG reporting
- Green Loan Credit Assessment
- Climate Risk Assessment
- SDG Impact
- Portfolio Decarbonization
- Responsible Financing
We need to have a robust data platform to make sure that every ESG part of our data provides invaluable insights for our Bank
