Google My Business allows you to create an enhanced business profile that includes photos, reviews, promotions and store openings hours. This profile appears when anyone searches for your business on Google Search and Maps, helping you to attract more customers.

When you sign up for Google My Business through UOB, you benefit from having a fast-tracked verification and registration process that can be completed in one sitting with UOB's registration form. This process can otherwise take up to 14 days for the accuracy of your business information, including the location of your storefront, to be verified.

Google My Business allows you to create an enhanced business profile that includes photos, reviews, promotions and store openings hours. This profile appears when anyone searches for your business on Google Search and Maps, thus helping you to attract more customers.

Through a partnership between Google and UOB, we are making it faster and easier for businesses in Singapore to register for the service via an online form that authenticates the applicant through GovTech’s MyInfo Biz database.

  • You should apply for GMB via UOB if you have a physical storefront, e.g. retail, F&B or service businesses, and your business is registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) in Singapore. You do not need to be an existing UOB customer to benefit from this free service. 

  • The applicant must be a qualified Director/Sole Proprietor/Partner of the business (incorporated in Singapore).

For all online self-service applications, it is important to make sure that you have a CorpPass, and the format of your business registered address extracted from MyInfo Biz is in line with GMB address guidelines.

Generally, there are 3 key ways to apply for GMB.

If you have CorpPass, you can go through our:

Online Self-Service Application

  • This is a seamless online process. All you need to do is visit this website and start your application. You will be guided to fill in an online form and agree on the T&Cs to complete the verification process.

  • During the registration process, you have a choice to register for GMB and Account Opening (UOB eBusiness Account) or GMB only.

  • Once you have completed the registration, a GMB verification code will be available for download in PDF format*. Then proceed to g.co/verifymybusiness and enter your GMB verification code when prompted. You can then activate your GMB account and start building your business profile immediately.

  • For applicants who have chosen to apply for a Business Account, you will either be directed to eBusiness Account application page or informed that a staff will be in contact with you shortly (subject to assessment).

*For the best experience, we recommend all online applicants to use Chrome desktop version.

  • For Chrome desktop users and Android Chrome mobile users: A PDF copy will be automatically stored in your device.

  • For iOS Chrome mobile users: You may take a screenshot of the PDF copy in the new tab. For applicants who have chosen to apply for eBusiness Account, remember to return to the webpage.

  • For iOS Safari desktop users: A PDF copy will be automatically stored in your device. For applicants who have chosen to apply for eBusiness Account, remember to return to the webpage.

  • You will need to be a qualified Director/Sole Proprietor/Partner of the business. Please note that verification cannot be done for disqualified Directors.

  • You will need to be prepared to provide the following information for verification:

    • Registered Business Name,
    • Business Registered Number (UEN),
    • Business Registered Address & Operating Address*,
    • Name of Business Owner (Director/Sole Proprietor/Partner),
    • Mobile Number,
    • Email Address,
    • Number of Places of Operation and
    • Annual Turnover.

For Branch/RM Application

  • You will need to be a qualified Director/Sole Proprietor/Partner of the business. Please note that verification cannot be done for disqualified Directors.

  • You will need to bring along your personal ID for verification.

  • You will need to provide the following information for verification:

    • Registered Business Name,
    • Business Registered Number (UEN),
    • Business Registered Address & Operating Address*,
    • Name of Business Owner (Director/Sole Proprietor/Partner),
    • Mobile Number,
    • Email Address,
    • Number of Places of Operation and
    • Annual Turnover.

*Registered address refers to the address which you have provided when you registered your business with the government. Operating address is the address for the place where you carry out your day-to-day operation.

  • In this collaboration, UOB will help with the registration process to verify if the business is a ‘live’ company (at the point of application).

  • We will obtain and provide you with a unique GMB verification code tied to your place of operation (storefront). A GMB verification code is a short alpha-numeric code that is used to complete the GMB verification process and account set-up, which will allow you to claim a listing on Google Search and Maps.

  • UOB will not manage any listings.

  • UOB will not be involved in GMB account activation, GMB profile management or any subsequent activities.

  • Google shall handle all inquiries, complaints, disputes etc. in connection with GMB after the verification code has been issued by UOB, including loss of GMB verification codes provided by UOB.

To apply online you will require:

  • CorpPass login credentials for your company
  • SingPass login credentials for all Business Owners, Partners and Directors (Singaporeans or PRs only)

^Notes:

  • This service is currently only applicable to Singapore registered Sole Proprietor, Partnership and Private Limited Companies fully owned by individuals (i) Singapore Citizens or (ii) Permanent Resident. For Private Limited Companies, the directors must be also the approved signatories and approved persons of the company, not exceeding 2.

Deposit Insurance Scheme

Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors and monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the Supplementary Retirement Scheme are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$75,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law.
