At the beginning of 2020, UOBC successfully completed a physical delivery of gold forwards denominated in Australian dollars for a large mining company. This is the bank's first such business. On the basis of expanding the forward contract, the two parties formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding in recent days to continue their business cooperation in various financial fields.

In September 2020, UOBC relied on the Shanghai Futures platform and partnered with corporate clients successfully completed the first "one-day delivery" business for gold futures. The partnership also implemented the measures taken by the Shanghai Futures Exchange to coordinate and optimize the delivery mechanism for precious metals.

UOBC not only helps mining companies lock in market risks through hedging, but also uses a new process to shorten the delivery date from five days to one.
