    1. Who is eligible to apply for InsureHealth?
      • Singapore residents between the ages of 18 and 59 years old can apply for InsureHealth.
      • For dependent child(ren) between the ages of 6 months and 18 years old, the parent/legal guardian must be the proposer. The age of dependent child(ren) may be extended to up to 25 years old if the child is studying full-time in a recognised institution of higher learning and is not married nor in employment.
      • Singapore residents refer to Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents or holders of a valid work permit, Employment Pass, S Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass or Dependant's Pass issued by the authorities in Singapore.

    2. Do I need to go for a medical check-up during the application process?
      No medical check-up is required during the application process.

    3. Does InsureHealth pay on top of other insurance policies I have?
      Yes, InsureHealth pays on top of your existing insurance policies, including your company's insurance coverage and MediShield.

    4. What does "30-day waiting period for hospitalisation due to illness" mean?
      You will only be covered for hospitalisation due to illnesses 30 days after the policy has commenced.

    5. What do I need to do if I wish to change my premium payment method?
      You may contact UOI at 1800 221 6588 during business hours to make arrangement. Alternatively, you may email to Personal-insurance@uoi.com.sg.

    1. Will I be covered if I'm hospitalised due to infectious disease? If yes, is COVID-19 on the list of infectious diseases?
      Yes, you will be covered for the applicable benefits if you are hospitalised due to infectious diseases, including COVID-19, 30 days after the policy has commenced.

    2. Will I be covered if I'm hospitalised for LASIK, cataract or wisdom tooth surgery?
      No, you will not be covered for the applicable benefits if you are hospitalised due to cosmetic, elective, dental disease or dental care surgery.

    3. Will I be covered if I'm hospitalised due to pre-existing conditions?
      No, you will not be covered if you are hospitalised due to pre-existing conditions.
      Pre-existing conditions refer to any illness, condition, manifestation or symptom:
      • for which the Insured Person had previously received treatment, medication or advice from a Physician; or
      • which the Insured Person was aware of, or should reasonably have been aware of; or
      • which would cause an ordinary prudent person to seek diagnosis, care or test; prior to the Effective Date of Insurance.

    4. Would you be reimbursed if you take a taxi or Grab to hospital?
      No, it is limited to ambulance service charges incurred in Singapore.

    5. I was given 5 days' medical leave after 4 days of hospitalisation as a result of an accident. My total hospital bill was S$2,500. What is the total amount payable under the Classic Plan?
      This insurance payout is based on the number of days the hospital stay lasted for; therefore, the Policy will pay a Daily Hospital Cash Benefit of S$100 x 4 = S$400 for the Classic Plan.
      If the hospital stay is less than 5 days, there will not be any payout under the "Post-Hospitalisation Allowance"

    6. How much will I be covered under the Classic Plan if I am hospitalised for 5 days due to dengue fever?
      You will receive a total of S$700 in cash benefits.
      • Daily Hospital Cash Benefit S$100 per day X 5 Days: S$500
      • Post-Hospitalisation Allowance for a minimum hospitalisation period of 5 days: S$200
      • Total Cash Benefit: S$700

    7. Will I be covered if I am hospitalised while I am abroad?
      Yes, you will be covered if you are hospitalised due to accident or illness while you are abroad.

    8. Will my premium increase after enrolment?
      Your premium will increase with your age. The premium you are currently paying is not guaranteed and may be adjusted based on UOI's review of this policy.
    1. How do I make a claim?
      Please complete the eClaim form and submit your supporting documents to UOI within 30 days of hospitalisation.

    2. How long does it take to process my claim?
      Upon receipt of all the relevant supporting documents, it will typically take ten (10) working days to complete the claim assessment.

    3. If I am admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), can I submit a claim for both Hospital and ICU cash benefits?
      You can only submit a claim for the ICU cash benefit, and not both cash benefits, in this instance.
