Singapore is the company's headquarters for Asia-Pacific investments, and the Singapore office has the dual purpose of managing and monitoring local investment opportunities and attracting new funds from the region for management. Opened in July 1995, the Singapore office has seen assets under management grow close to S$5.3 billion (as at 30 June 2000).
Investment Philosophy
Henderson Global Investors believes that the following principles are fundamental to delivering superior long-term investment performance to its clients:
- Economic forces drive markets.
- Market cycles generate investment themes.
- Theme analysis supports stock selection.
These beliefs are integrated into all stages of its investment process. The top-down process is designed to add value to clients' portfolios from sector, theme and stock selection. This is important from a risk control viewpoint, as the company is then not reliant on any one aspect of its process to achieve performance targets.
