About UniAlerts

Q1. What is UniAlerts?
UniAlerts is a value-added service that alerts you on your UOB account activities, no matter where you are.

Q2. Do I have to pay for using UniAlerts?
No, UniAlerts is a free service.

Q3. How do I qualify for UniAlerts?
UniAlerts is available to customers who maintain personal Savings or Current accounts with the UOB Group and/or are UOB Principal Credit Cardmembers.

Q4. What types of alert services can I register for if I am a UOB Group personal Savings or Current account holder?
You can register for the following alert services:

  • Scheduled Funds Transfer Status
  • GIRO Application Approval
  • GIRO Standing Order Due
  • IPO Results
  • Scheduled Bill Payment Status
  • View Your Statement Online

However, please note that there are pre-requisites for the successful triggering of certain alerts.

Q5. What types of alert services can I register for if I am a UOB Principal Credit Cardmember?
You can register for any of the following alert services:

  • Credit Card Bill Due
  • Credit Card Payment Received
  • Low Available Credit
  • Signature UNI$ Redemption

Q6. What types of alert services can I register for if I am a UOB Supplementary Cardmember or if I am a UOB Debit Cardmember, e.g., UOB VISA Electron, UOB VISA R?
As a UOB Supplementary or/and Debit Cardmember, you will not be able to register for any of the credit card alert services. However, if you hold a UOB Group personal Savings or Current account at the same time, you can register for any of the banking alert services.

Using UniAlerts

Q7. How do I register for UniAlerts?
Simply log on to UOB Personal Internet Banking to access UniAlerts. Then click on 'Alerts Registration' to register.

Q8. How will I receive my alerts?
For every alert service that you have registered for, you can opt to be notified by email or mobile SMS.

Q9. When are alerts dispatched?
Alerts are dispatched according to the following schedule:

Type of Alert
Dispatch Schedule
Scheduled Funds Transfer Status to UOB Account Payee
(Own or Third Party)
Processing date
Scheduled Funds Transfer Status to Other Bank Account Payee
3 working days after the processing date
GIRO Application Approval Processing date
GIRO Standing Order Due 3 working days before payment due date
IPO Results Processing date
Scheduled Bill Payment Status Processing date
View Your Statement Online Day following statement cycle
Credit Card Bill Due 1 calendar week before payment due date
Credit Card Payment Received Processing date
Low Available Credit Processing date
Signature UNI$ Redemption Processing date

Q10. When will I receive my alerts?
When we despatch an alert, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the alert on the same day. This is because once an alert is despatched from our system, it is transmitted to you through the relevant communications network e.g., email and mobile.

Failure of the mobile network or email server at any point during the transmission can cause a delay in or failure of your receipt of the alert.

Q11. Once I register for an alert service, can I be sure of being alerted?
The following alerts will only be triggered if the stated pre-requisites are met:

  • IPO Results
    IPO must be applied via any UOB Group ATM or UOB Personal Internet Banking
  • View Your Statement Online
    Request To Stop Sending Account Statements must have been successfully submitted
  • Signature UNI$ Redemption
    Ensure that you are the principal credit cardmember of the UOB Signature Visa Card

Q12. Is there a specific mobile service provider that I need to register with before I can use UniAlerts?
To receive mobile SMS alerts, your mobile service provider must either be SingTel, M1 or StarHub.

Q13. Do I need to be on a specific mobile network?
Mobile SMS alerts are available on GSM and GSM1800 networks. UniAlerts does not support the CDMA network.

Q14. Can I receive mobile SMS alerts with any model of mobile phone?
You can receive mobile SMS alerts using any mobile phone that accepts short messages.

Q15. What must I do if I have changed my email address or mobile phone number?
You can update your contact information online at UniAlerts.

Just login to UOB Personal Internet Banking to access UniAlerts. Click on 'My Contacts' and proceed to update your contact information. Your information will be updated the following day.

Q16. If I wish to stop receiving my alerts, what must I do?
You can cancel your UniAlerts registration anytime.

Just login to UOB Personal Internet Banking to access UniAlerts. Click on 'Service Cancellation' and confirm your request to cancel your UniAlerts registration. You can always register for UniAlerts again.
