About ATM - Favourite Transactions
Q1. Why am I seeing a different coloured screen? I used to see a blue background?
As you are a valued Privilege Banking customer, we have designed and customised our ATM screens to enhance your banking experience with us.
Q2. What is this Favourite Transactions service about?
The Favourite Transactions service allows you to perform your transactions more quickly at our Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). You are able to personalise your frequently used transactions using this new service and perform your transactions hassle-free.
Q3: What can I do with this Favourite Transactions service?
You can create up to four (4) unique Favourite Transactions of your choice. You can define the transaction type for each Favourite Transaction. The following transaction types are applicable for this service: Cash Withdrawal, Balance Enquiry, CashCard Top-Up and Credit Card Payment.
Q4: How many favourite transactions can I create?
You can create up to four (4) unique favourite transactions
Q5: Can I have multiple favourite transactions of the same transaction type?
Yes, you can have multiple Favourite Transactions of the same transaction type as long as each Favourite Transaction is unique. For example, you can have two unique Favourite Transactions for cash withdrawals: one to withdraw S$20 without receipt from your savings account and another to withdraw S$500 with receipt from the same savings account.
Q6: Can I select other transaction types, such as fund transfer, as a Favourite Transaction?
For the time being, Funds Transfer is not available for selection under the Favourite Transactions service.
Q7: I noticed that the ATM transaction flow has changed. There is a new screen now that prompts me to select whether I would like to add the transaction as my favourite transaction. What am I supposed to do?
With this new Favourite Transactions service, you are able to customise your own main menu. If you perform any of these four (4) types of transactions (Cash Withdrawal, Balance Enquiry, CashCard Top-Up and Credit Card Payment), you will be prompted whether to add this transaction as your Favourite Transaction.
If you want to add this transaction as your Favourite Transaction, select "Yes" and a new main menu displaying this favourite transaction will be shown the next time you use your UOB card on our ATM. If you prefer not to add the transaction as your Favourite Transaction, just select "No".
If you do not wish to be prompted with this message again, simply select "Don't ask again".
Example: Setting a Fast Cash Withdrawal of $80 with receipt as a Favourite Transaction
- Insert your UOB card and enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
- Select $80 for the amount
- Select “Yes” for the receipt option
- Select “Yes” when prompted on whether you would like to add this transaction as your Favourite Transaction
- Take card
- Take cash and receipt
Q8: I inserted my UOB ATM card and noted that there is a new main menu instead of the standard main menu that I always see. Why is this so?
As we have enhanced our ATM service, you can actually create your own main menu with your Favourite Transactions. If you see a new main menu, this means that you have previously responded "Yes" when you were prompted whether to add this transaction as your Favourite Transaction. If you prefer to see our standard main menu, you may delete this record by selecting "Edit/Delete Favourite Transactions".
Q9: I have previously chosen "Don't ask again" when prompted on whether I would like to add the transaction as my Favourite Transaction. However, I would like to create my personalised main menu now. How can I do that?
You can follow these steps to turn on this feature:
- Insert your UOB ATM card and enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
- Select "CashCard/Other Trans" option
- Select "Other Transactions" option
- Select "Other Transactions" option again
- Select "Edit Favourite Transactions" option
- Select "Turn on Favourite Transactions" option
Once this feature is turned on, the next time you perform any of the four transaction types, you will again be prompted whether you would like to add this transaction as your Favourite Transaction. You will then have to respond "Yes" in order to create your new main menu.
Q10: I only want to set up less than four (4) favourite transactions. How do I stop the ATM from prompting me on whether I would like to add any more transactions as my favourite transaction?
If you do not wish to be prompted with this message again, simply select "Don't ask again".
