Customers in Ang Mo Kio can look forward to greater banking convenience as United Overseas Bank's (UOB) new 7000 square feet mega branch opens at Ang Mo Kio (AMK) Hub. Offering a full suite of services and new features that complement the lifestyles of its customers, the Bank's new mega branch will see a new Kid's Corner that is furnished with educational games and even PlayStation consoles. This allows children to be kept occupied in a fun and safe environment while their parents focus on their banking needs. To add to that, there will also be a self-service section where computer booths have been specially set up for
customers who would rather perform their banking transactions online.

Apart from the above, the Q-Matic system will also be used in the new mega branch as an added level of service. This composite system sends short text messages to customers' mobile phones to inform them that their turn is fast approaching.

With a floor area of some 7000 square feet, this mega branch is the Bank's second biggest branch, with the largest being its main branch at UOB Plaza. Ms Wendy Teo, UOB's Head of Sales and Distribution, Personal Financial Services said, "The Bank has an established presence in Ang Mo Kio. We have been providing banking needs to one of Singapore's oldest heartland for the longest time. Therefore, we are able to understand customers' needs better. We also believe that we are poised to serve both the young and old residents to cater to their lifestyle needs."

To better cater to the needs of its customers, this new branch will be opened from 11am to 6pm on Mondays to Fridays and 11am to 4pm on Saturdays. In addition, it is also the only bank at the AMK Hub that is opened on Sundays from 11am to 6pm for customers who may require assistance in Loans and Investment-related matters.
