CHAN HENG TOONG, MANAGING DIRECTOR
Heng Toong was appointed as Managing Director of UOB Corporate Finance Division in 2006. He has been in the banking field for more than 28 years and his areas of expertise in banking include credit and marketing exposure in asset-based finance, shipping, domestic and Japanese MNCs, real estate and construction. Prior to joining the legacy OUB bank in 1989, Heng Toong held senior positions in Citibank and American Express Bank. In 1990, he was the General Manager / Chief Executive Officer of the legacy OUB bank's subsidiary bank in Toronto, Canada before joining the Corporate Finance Department in 1995. Since then, Heng Toong has been involved in the supervision of IPOs, bonus issue, rights issues, bonds-cum-warrants issue, employees' share option schemes, private placements and other general corporate advisory services. Heng Toong holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Degree from the University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from University of British Columbia, Vancouver.
DAVID THAM, TEAM HEAD
David joined UOB Corporate Finance Division in 2006. He has more than 14 years of working experience in the financial industry in Singapore with more than 10 years spent in the investment banking sector. David's investment banking experience includes managing equity & debt capital market transactions such as initial public offerings, rights issues, bond issues & warrant issues as well as arranging & executing corporate advisory transactions such as takeovers, reverse takeovers, M&As, debt & capital restructurings, capital distribution & valuation assignments. Before UOB, David was with the Corporate Finance Department of OUB & later with Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance & the Corporate Finance Department of OCBC Bank. Prior to these, David was with the Issuer Regulation Department of the Singapore Exchange involved in the review & approval of listing applications as well as the review & clearance of prospectuses & circulars. David holds a Masters of Science degree in Finance from Lancaster University, England & a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Insurance) degree from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is also a CFA charterholder.
LOW HAN KEAT, TEAM HEAD
Han Keat joined UOB Corporate Finance Division in 2007. Prior to joining UOB, he spent 15 years with DBS Bank in Singapore and Hong Kong attached to its Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and IT divisions. Han Keat's investment banking experience includes managing and executing equity and debt capital market transactions such as Real Estate Investment Trusts, initial public offerings, private placements, rights issues and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities. Han Keat was one of the members of the team involved in the listing of CapitaMall Trust, the first REIT listed in Singapore, Fortune REIT, the first cross border REIT listed in Singapore and GZI REIT, the first REIT holding PRC assets listed in Hong Kong. Han Keat graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science degree.
MARK WEE, TEAM HEAD
Mark joined UOB Corporate Finance Division on 2 January 2002 following the legal merger of OUB into UOB. Mark has more than 8 years of experience in Corporate Finance, having previously been with the Corporate Finance Department of legacy OUB prior to joining UOB. Mark has been involved in more than 9 initial public offerings, and his investment banking experience also includes secondary fund raising, rights and warrants issues, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate advisory services. Mark holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Degree from King's College, University of London.
